Park University's softball program lined up with Culver-Stockton College on Saturday, earning the series sweep of the Pirates at the Park Softball Complex, 7-2 and 8-4.
Park has hit waters in Heart of America Athletic Conference play and are now 1-7 in the conference and drop below .500 overall at 12-13. Culver-Stockton College bumps ahead of Park at 3-5 in the Heart and are 10-18 on the season.

Culver-Stockton came out firing in game one, as two solo home runs began the game for the Wildcats in the first inning. Park responded with a double by
Halle Magee in the next half inning.
A steady stream of runs came in for the Wildcats in the third and fourth innings to reach their final in the run column of seven.
Abbie Farmer started for Park, going 3.2 innings with five hits allowed including three home runs, but striking out five as well.
Macee Austin and
Shelby Sanders were the only two Pirates to record multiple hits in game one. Magee struck the only double for Park. Sanders knocked in Park's final run in the bottom of the sixth, closing the game out at 7-2, Wildcats.

It was better offense for Park in game two, but the Wildcats were as effective with the sticks as well.
Lauren Fiene went a complete game for the Pirates and threw shutout innings and struck out 10 hitters. This marks her third game with 10 or more strikeouts.
The Pirates got on the board first in the bottom of the second with a two-out single from Austin to score
Lexie Schroeder.
A six-run swing came in the next half inning by the Wildcats to push them out front 6-1. The Wildcats benefited from a lead-off walk and four additional hits, including an inside the park home run to overtake the Pirates.
Schroeder answered the call in the bottom of the fourth with a triple to score
Ariah Durkes, and then two more runs came in the bottom of the fifth for the Pirates to make it 6-4. Magee got her second RBI of the series with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth and
Brooke Conner kept the line moving with an RBI double.
The Wildcats tacked on additional runs in the sixth and seventh to seal the game at 8-4. The Wildcats' game one starter Emma Roseberry came back in game two to earn the save.
 Dani Klein tripled in the game along with Schroder, and all seven hits in game two came by different Pirate hitters.
Evangel University is the next stop for Park on Friday, April 7 in Springfield, Mo.Â
