Park University's Women's Golf started off the Fall season with an impressive win in Wichita, KS. Placing first out of seven teams. Three players finished in the top-5 as Park dominated the tournament.

Micaela Suhl placed first individually. It's Suhl's fifth individual collegiate win. She started strong on day one, with two birdies and an eagle on hole 14, finishing with the tournament's best +4 in the opening round. She continued that performance into day two and finished +12 on the tournament to record the 1st-place finish

"Micaela played amazing both days," head coach Marth Lindscott said. "Winning a college tournament isn't easy, but she sure makes it look easy."

The newest members to the Pirate program also played well in their first tournament with Park. Kathy Gillett, Naureen Kamaruzzaman, Johnna Johanson and Clara Martinez all finished in the top-16 golfers.

"They're adding the depth we have been missing the last couple of years, and I'm excited to see what this team can do," Lindscott said.

The next tournament for the Pirates is the Siouxland Women's Fall Invitational at The Ridge GC and Landsmeer GC on September 8 and 9.
