Park University Women's Flag Football added a new face to its coaching staff.
David Griffin had been hired as assistant coach ahead of the inaugural season for the flag football team.
David Griffin brings experience and extra leadership to Park, as he's worked with a variety of football programs. He is the former offensive coordinator for the KC Titans of the women's tackle football league. He coached flag football at three different high schools in the Kansas City area: Ruskin, Lincoln Prep and, most recently, Raytown High School. Griffin turned Raytown into Missouri's 10th-ranked girls' high school flag football team, and will look to bring that success to the college level.
Griffin came to Park because he thinks it's a great place to start a culture, and he loves Park University because of its family atmosphere, diverse staff, and student body. He wants to help out head coach
Krishna Lee, whom he met when Krishna started playing pro women's tackle football in 2015, and Coach Griff was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, in any way he can. Lee was hired as the head coach back in July.
Originally from Kansas City. Griffin received my BA degree and was a football walk-on at Kansas State University. Off the field, he's an at-risk high school teacher at Raytown High School, and enjoys spending time with my family, being outdoors, traveling, and going to the gym.
