The Park University men's cross country program was represented well by Lukas Mehl on Friday at the 2023 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship in Vancouver, Wash.

The freshman took 183^rd in a time of 26:56 at Fort Vancouver Historical Course.

The 2023 Heart First Team All-Conference member was third among the rest of the runners from around Heart schools.

2023 Heart Coach of the Year and first year Head Coach at Park, Rikki Hacker, said "it was a great learning experience for him!" when talking about Mehl's first national championship appearance.
